Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct - Zero Tolerance Policy
Purpose
This Code of Conduct establishes expectations for all participants in Ringette activities, including parents, players, coaches, and officials. It is designed to promote respect, safety, and sportsmanship. Ringette Ontario and the Paris Ringette Association enforce this policy with zero tolerance for abusive or harassing behavior.
Parents
Parents play a critical role in setting an example for their children.
- All players, coaches, and officials are learning, striving to improve, and participating for enjoyment.
- Verbal abuse of officials, players, or coaches will not be tolerated.
- Any parent who verbally abuses or harasses will receive one warning.
- Continued misconduct will result in removal from the arena playing area.
- If a parent refuses to leave, the game will be called, and their team will automatically forfeit.
- Conduct will be reported to the home association and addressed at the Regional level.
Players
Players are expected to demonstrate leadership and sportsmanship.
- Abusive language or harassment of officials, teammates, or coaches will not be tolerated.
- Older players must model appropriate conduct for younger players.
- Players are encouraged to set a positive example for adults and coaches.
Coaches & Officials
Coaches and officials are responsible for maintaining professionalism and respect.
- Abusive language or harassment of players, officials, or coaches is unacceptable.
- Officials must explain rulings politely and courteously when requested.
- Coaches must seek clarification respectfully.
- Both coaches and officials are role models and must set the standard for conduct.

Enforcement
Ringette Ontario and the Paris Ringette Association will enforce this Code of Conduct with a Zero Tolerance Policy. Violations will result in immediate action, including removal from the playing area, forfeiture of games, and referral to the appropriate governing body for further review.
Statement
By participating in Ringette activities, all parents, players, coaches, and officials agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment.
RINGETTE ONTARIO AND PARIS RINGETTE ASSOCIATION HAS IMPLEMENTED THIS CODE OF CONDUCT WITH A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
